You may need a little space to decompress. Walking or exercise can be one way of doing that. Your way of decompressing may be different. Find that way for yourself.

Then become a part of your kids lives. Interact with them where they live. This may be in the form of a game or fishing or many different activities.
Find ways of becoming a part of their lives and don't expect then to conform to yours.

The formative years are very important for dads to be a part of children's lives. Teaching the way to live and just being a part of their life everyday. This is very important. Some dads may need a little guidance to accomplish these thing for their kids.
